To go along with its eclectic lineup of support and stability shoes, Asics is in the process of introducing its updated 33 collection, a series of lightweight running shoes that stay true to Asics’ roots, but sport a slimmer frame.
Much like the Gel-Super J33, which is set to drop this October, in 2014, Asics is set to roll out the Gel-Electro33 designed for a “natural” ride. Like the Gel-Excel33 before it, the Electro33 features Asics’ proprietary FluidAxis midsole, which promotes a completely fluid stride from heel-to-toe.
As its title indicates, the Electro33 is loaded with Gel cushioning units in the heel for shock retention and cushioning. Up top, a seamless upper offers lasting comfort, and also helps reduce the weight of the shoe—the official weight being 9.6 ounces.
The Gel-Electro33 is slated for a February 2014 release. Stay tuned for information on pricing, as well as a performance review on the latest Asics runner.
