Believe it or not, the past month has been a fairly dry one when it comes to home runs for Derby champion Yoenis Cespedes. Aside from his thrilling showing during the Home Run Derby itself, Cespedes hadn't homered since a game against Seattle on June 21. But that all changed last night as the Athletics hosted the Blue Jays in a 9-4 win. Cespedes hit 3-5, batting in 3 runs and hitting an 8th inning home run off of Brett Cecil.

For Cespedes, the return to form was bigger than the home run itself: "It's not about the homer. I've started to feel better and everything is going to be fine. When I'm hitting well, I feel like I'm contributing my grain of sand, doing my part. This team is pretty dangerous when everybody works together." A's pitcher A.J. Griffin added his thoughts, "Cespedes is getting on fire. He's too good not to put together one of these streaks. We're going to ride him all the way to the promised land."

Instead of the Nike MVP Elite 3/4s he wore during the HR Derby, Cespedes switched over to the Huarache Pro Mid Metal. Equipped with a Huarache inner sleeve for a supportive lockdown fit, a Phylon midsole enhanced with Air cushioning, and a durable Pebax outsole plate, the Huarache Pro Mid Metal is available for $95.
