Yesterday, the Chicago White Sox were able to sneak away with a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles thanks to some stellar pitching from Jose Quintana and a solo homer from Adam Dunn in the bottom of the ninth. Although Quintana ended up with a no-decision after relief pitcher Addison Reed took over, he pitched one of the best games of his career. The White Sox pitcher ended up with 11 strikeouts over a seven-inning period, the most Ks of his career, and only allowed two hits throughout the stretch. Quintana had this to say on the no-decision: "Those are things you can't control. The most important thing to me is that the team wins. The best thing that I can do for the team is give the team a quality start, give the team the opportunity to win and give a quality outing."

Taking to the mound in a retro style, Quintana wore the Nike Air Huarache 2K4 cleat. Influenced by the innovative Huarache basketball model, the Air Huarache 2K4 features a Phylon midsole, full-length Air cushioning, and a sturdy heel clip for lockdown.
