After a shaky start (complete with getting stuck in traffic on the way to the game), the Indiana Fever gave the New York Liberty a huge headache in the second half of play, finishing with a final score of 74-53. In the third quarter, Indiana outscored New York 31-6. While the tension between the two squads isn't quite as tense as their NBA counterparts in the Pacers and Knicks, both teams came in looking to improve their losing records.
The Indiana Fever were powered by a big showing from Erlana Larkins, who finished with a season-high 15 points, 6 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Also pitching in for the Fever were Shavonte Zellous with 13 and Erin Phillips with 12 points. It's been a tough season for Indiana, who are 5-8 overall and lost 7 of their first 8 contests, but as of late, they've been on top of their game.
