As the USA kicked off their Gold Cup run against Belize, striker Chris Wondolowski led the way with a hat trick in the first half, powering the US to a 6-1 win. Wondolowski, who set the MLS record for most goals in a season, scored at the 12, 37, and 40 minute marks. USA's remaining goals came from Stuart Holden at 58', Michael Orozco at 72', and Landon Donovan at 76'. Next up for USA in the Gold Cup is a match against Cuba this Saturday at 3:30.

Surprisingly, Wondolowski's hat trick wasn't the only thing that had fans buzzing. Somehow, in the first half of play, Wondolowski stepped out in a jersey which misspelled his last name. Reading "Wondowlowski", the USA striker quickly switched to a jersey with proper spelling in the second half. However, his hat trick occurred while wearing the misprint, and Wondolowski didn't manage to score again after swapping for the corrected version. There's no telling who's responsible for the spelling error, but perhaps Wondolowski should consider making it a regular thing?

For this big offensive showing, Wondolowski stuck with the Nike Tiempo Legend IV, which has been his cleat of choice for awhile now. The Tiempo Legend IV is equipped with All Conditions Control, ensuring proper grip in any weather. Meanwhile, its soft kangaroo leather upper is formfitting and provides enhanced ball control. Try them out yourself for $160. Hat tricks not included.
