Philadelphia has a rich history, and its role in the American revolution is worth at least a sneaker tribute, right? If Massachusetts' Concepts did the New Balance 999 "Kennedy" then you know it was only due of UBIQ to design "The Benjamin."

Paying homage to the one and only Benjamin Franklin, the shop has teased a pair of New Balance 1600s that will be a must-have for everyone, not just people who down cheesesteaks and wear sweatpants on the regular. It appears the sneakers will have a gum sole, and a red, blue, and brown upper—all made from buttery suede. These might be the best sneakers to drop this year. Not just for New Balance heads, either. And they release on July 29.
