Even though we see a million colorways of so many signature shoes these days, brands have seemingly become a lot more selective about who actually gets a signature shoe. In the '90s, hype or a hot string of seasons might have gotten you a sneaker with your name on the box. In the '80s only a handful of guys had a sneaker that featured their governmental.
