Stephen Curry is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. But on Wednesday night, Curry proved yet again why he deserves recognition as one of the best guards in the league right now.

On the final day of the 2013 NBA regular season, Curry broke Ray Allen’s record for 3-pointers in a season when he hit his 270th in the second quarter of Golden State’s matchup against Portland.

Curry accomplished the incredible feat in a pair of his trusty Nike Hyperfuse sneakers; shoes that he’s worn in a variety of PE colorways throughout the course of the season. The Warrior-appropriate Blue/Gold pair he wore for last night’s game are the same ones he dropped 47 points in just days ago.

Breaking the 3-point record certainly adds a couple more lines to Curry’s resume, but even more importantly, in just his fourth year in the league, the 25-year-old star has the Warriors back in the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Golden State will rely heavily on Curry’s scoring abilities if they hope to get past the surging Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs.
