If Victor Oladipo keeps playing like he did last night, it won’t be long until the Indiana Hoosiers’ junior shooting guard becomes a household name, and Coach Tom Crean’s squad should have no problem holding on to its No. 1 ranking heading into the NCAA tournament.

In yesterday’s Top-5 showdown against conference foe Michigan State, Oladipo led the team with 19 and nine rebounds, as the Hoosiers pulled out a late-game victory (72-68) against the No. 4 ranked Spartans. What’s even more impressive is that Oladipo scored six of the 19 points in the final minute of the game, including the go-ahead putback that sealed the deal for Indiana, oh and he's still rebounding from a foot injury.

Despite not being 100 percent for the game, Oladipo worked his way around the court with great finesse, and no wonder—he was wearing a pair of adidas Crazy Fast, literally one of the fastest sneakers ever created for the hardwood. The combo of the Sprintweb upper and a midfoot Torsion System seemed to work wonders for #4, as he added five steals and a block to his stat line. Oladipo was so good Tuesday night that ESPN analyst Dick Vitale even compared him to the Michael Jordan during the live broadcast. Now, Dickie V knows a lot about basketball, but it may be a bit too early to mention Oladipo in the same sentence as his Airness. Besides, MJ would never rock adidas-branded sneakers.
