The NBA All-Star game is days away, but it seems like the Phoenix Suns roster checked out a little prematurely. With Oklahoma City coming through, no one on the Suns stepped up. Only one player scored in double-digits (Markeef Morris who had 12 points off the bench) and the starters went for a combined 26 points. Russell Westbrook, the game's leading scorer, went for a cool 24 points. That's right, he almost outscored Phoenix's starters by himself.
Playing in what have become one of his go-to-shoes, Westbrook went off in the Jordan Aero Flights. Maybe it's the FlyWire upper that suits him best or the Nike Zoom Unit in the forefoot that helps him land after his explosive dunks that makes Westbrook want to hoop in them. One thing is for sure, nothing's better for your statline (Russ also had six assists and four steals) than having the other team not show up.
