Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks came to Toronto ready to play Friday Night, but the Raptors proved to be resilient in a 100-98 victory. Despite Melo going off for 32 points and J.R. Smith chipping in another 19, the Knicks ultimately added to their losing streak, with their last win being on February 2.

The Raptors were led by veteran forward Rudy Gay, who put up a season-high 32 points and added seven rebounds. Demar DeRozan also had 18 in Toronto's upset win. Although the Raptors definitely won't be making the NBA Playoffs this year, you can bet that the hometown fans were thrilled with the closely-contested game.

If there was a nightly MVP, it's safe to say that Gay would have snatched it from Melo. The 32 points a piece weren't the only thing they had in common Friday night, though. Melo was rocking his usual Jordan Brand signature, the Melo M9, while Rudy Gay out-performed him in the Air Jordan 11 Retro "Black/Red". With full-length Zoom Air cushioning, a supportive Carbon Fiber shank plate, and a flexible upper, the Air Jordan 11 has been a go-to selection for players of all sizes since its original release.

This "Black/Red" colorway, originally made famous by Michael himself in the 1996 Playoffs, sold out immediately when it re-released last Holiday season. Check back with Sneaker Report to find out when you'll be able to purchase the Air Jordan XI again.
