Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has been the one making most of the headlines this season, but on Tuesday night it was Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo who got the better of Messi and Co.

Wearing his signature Nike Mercurial Vapor IX cleats, Ronaldo scored twice—once on a penalty kick—to help beat Barca 3-1, thus earning a spot for his team in the Copa del Rey final.

It was a spectacular performance from Ronaldo, to say the least, against a Barcelona team that has gotten the better of him in their first few meetings. However as of late, Cristiano has turned it around, scoring a goal for the sixth straight time on Barca’s home pitch, Camp Nou stadium.

Real Madrid will now await the winner of today’s other Copa del Rey semifinal match between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
