Pissing Kobe Bryant off and giving him extra motivation before he hits the court is probably not a good idea. Mark Cuban has never been afraid to put his foot in his mouth and true to form, he did just that by suggesting that the Lakers may have to part ways with Bryant via the NBA Amnesty clause. Kobe has a history of giving Dirk & Co. the work, but the Black Mamba was extra locked in yesterday in Dallas. After Cuban's clumsy clause suggestion and guaranteeing that the Lakers would make the playoffs, Bryant stepped up and scored 14 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter.
Not that Dirk went out without putting up a fight (Nowitzki had 30 points and 13 rebounds), but Bryant, in his signature Kobe 8 Systems with Dynamic fit and webbed rubber outsole, KB24 schooled one of his young disciples and torched one of his old adversaries. The Lakers sit in ninth place and still have a hill to climb if they're going to make the extra post-season push. But if there's one thing history, and Nike, has taught us, it's that we can #CountOnKobe to get the job done.
