David West is the epitome of hard-nosed power forward in today's game. Never steps outside of his comfort zone on offense, rebounds and, accompanied by defense first guys like Roy Hibbert and George Hill, protects the basket as if he just heard a Ray Lewis speech before coming out of the locker room. West lead all scorers last night with 30 points and eight rebounds as only three Pacers scored in double-digits in the 100-98 overtime loss to Rudy Gay and the Raptors.

Gay hit a dagger with 1.7 left to go in OT, but the Pacers still hold command in the East Conference as a team you don't want to see come playoff time. Wearing the Nike Max Hyperposite, West can feel free with the flexible, ventilated upper and sturdy with the Max Air 360 Unit supporting his weight on moves when he attacks the Rim.
