New York Knicks' superstar Carmelo Anthony is having one of the best seasons of his NBA career, and whether his latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Melo M9, has anything to do with that is really up for debate. We do know, however, that Melo's Knicks will have a legitimate shot at challenging Miami for that No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference. As for the M9, it just happens to be the best looking, and lightest performing, Melo sneakers to date.
The 6-time NBA All-Star recently took a trip across the Pond to the House of Hoops London, where he broke down the Melo M9--attributing the design to his love for watches, and his hometown of Brooklyn, NY.
"I’m a big time watch collector, I’m a big time watch guy and I love the movements in watches," Anthony told The Daily Street UK. "When you open up a watch and you see the technicalities in the watch and the movements in the watch, that was something that I really wanted to try to incorporate and do something different while designing this shoe."
