Player: Mike Carroll
Year Released: 1994

As with most skateboarders, a signature sneaker line can be incredibly short-lived bouncing from brand to brand, or it can be a seemingly lifelong deal. Mike Carroll landed on the Vans team in the early '90s and was quickly awarded a signature model in 1994. After winning Skater of the Year from Thrasher Magazine, Carroll left Vans for DC, and later, to do his own thing. Carroll teamed up with one of the other skaters that was killing it back then, Rick Howard, to form their own company. A few years later Lakai Limited Footwear was born. Supreme pulled the Mike Carroll midcut silhouette out of the crates at Vans in 2011 but instead of Mike Carroll's signature on the tongue, a scripted 'Supreme' was in its place.
