Not since Michael Johnson’s gold Nike spikes in the ‘96 Olympics have we seen a sexier track shoe than the Saucony Showdown 2—ok, so maybe that’s a bit of a stretch. But you have to admit, it’s one good looking shoe.

As the newest member of Saucony’s growing Track & Field footwear collection, the Showdown 2 is, you guessed it, an upgraded version of the original Showdown.  With a reduced weight (5.9 ounces), a natural running-inspired FlexFilm upper, and a Pro-Lock lace system, it’s the strongest and lightest sprint spike the brand has ever manufactured. Idea for 100M-400M races, the shoe houses a 10-Pin Pebax spike plate that offers just the correct amount and durability required by sprinters.
