First Air Jordan to Use Visible Air

Visible Air was Nike's statement technology in 1988, having just been introduced via the Air Max the year prior. Tinker Hatfield came up with the concept as a way to use a larger Air bag without compromising the midsole - 360 Air was still quite a ways off - and it immediately became recognizable as a Nike element.
