The holiday season is a time of giving, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to something nice, say for instance a pair of customized KOBE 8 SYSTEM basketball sneakers.
Starting today, December 4th, Kobe Bryant’s latest signature shoe is available for customization on NikeiD. This means you can put your own name, number, favorite colors, and even cushioning options on Kobe’s kicks and call them your own. Most of the custom options are pretty standard, but Nike has taken the term “personalized” to new heights with the option to choose your very own insert. The options include Lunarlon cushioning for a responsive ride, an orthotic-ready Nike Zoom insert which is thin and lower to the ground. For the tech-friendly consumer, the option to go with the KOBE+ 8 Sport Pack midsole is also available (which comes complete with the Nike+ Sport Kit). Unfortunately, the NikeiD option for the shoe is only currently available for preview. To purchase your design, you'll have to wait until December 20th.
