IGIRIS x Under Armour Charge RC

KOJIKI inspired.

Under Armour has teamed up with Japanese artist collective IGIRIS for creative versions of the Charge RC silhouette. The collective is inspired by KOJIKI, which is a book of Japanese myths and stories that tie the mythical heritage with the Olympic games in London. The art, which is prominently featured on the Charge RC, is considered as important as the design of the sneaker itself. The reworked slip-on aesthetic of the Charge RC, which now features bands instead of traditional lacing, is a nod to the traditional Ikitabi, slip-on shoes from ancient Japan. Each colorway is limited to 50 pairs each and serves as Under Armour's first artist collaboration.
