A car is only as good as its suspension system—the same can be said for performance sneakers.
Anyone familiar with the name Porsche knows just how impressive the sport-tuned cars are. Well now, that premium suspension system is going from the car straight into a sneaker—all thanks to the genius collaboration between Porsche Design Sport and adidas.
A collabo that started back in 2006 is going stronger than ever as the Limited Edition Bounce:S³ hits the shelves of Porsche Design stores and at adidas.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, just know that the third generation of the Bounce:S series is anything but an ordinary running sneaker. With complex performance elements, and a futuristic design to match, the Bounce:S³ is truly on of a kind. Similar to a Porsche car, the sneaker features a mechanical shock-absorbing system that transfers your momentum forward without losing a step. It uses a pivot mechanism and metal springs to keep your stride consistent and impact-free.
The semi-translucent outsole reveals the show’s innards (aka the metal springs) so you can see them at work right before your eyes. The shoe features a seamless one-piece mesh upper that is both breathable and chafe-free.
As impressive as the Bounce:S³ is, getting your hands on a pair won’t be easy. Only 500 pairs will be available, so if you’re hoping to take this award-winning sneaker for a spin, then head over to adidas and test your luck.
