Michigan State isn’t necessarily known for its ingenuity on the field, however on Saturday, the Spartans tried to keep pace with the rest of the college football world with the unveiling of a new helmet for their showdown against cross-state rivals Michigan.
Though they fell just short of a win against the Wolverines, Michigan State’s new lid added some flash to the usually-traditional look of the team. Finished by HGI (the same folks responsible for designing the Oregon helmets), the green HydroChrome helmets kept the traditional Spartan logo, just with a chrome finish to add some flare to their game.
