You wouldn’t be able to tell after their 83-point thrashing of Nigeria yesterday, but the rest of the world is slowly catching up to Team USA Basketball. Don’t believe it? Just ask LeBron James or Kobe Bryant- they would tell you the same thing.

Nike Basketball recently sat down with the 2012 USA national basketball team to discuss their country pride, as well as their approach to training for the Olympics in this modern-era of basketball. The guys willingly acknowledged that the talent gap between the U.S. and the international basketball world has been closing at a steady rate.  To counteract that, players look to innovative technology to better themselves as athletes and keep them performing at the highest level.

One such piece of technology being incorporated by Nike and Team USA at the London Olympics is Nike+. The chip imbedded in the shoe allows each player to be able to track their performance and progression on a daily basis, serving as a source of information, which in turn leads to motivation to get better.

Check out the video below for the inside scoop on Team USA.
