In what could have been one of the hotter releases of this year, Frank the Butcher's revitalization of the New Balance 1600 was unfortunately scrapped due to unforeseen politics, combined with a number of other coinciding issues. Frank was commissioned by New Balance last year to work on a trio release of the 1600 model. The result was to be a July 4th-dedicated drop, consisting of a red, white, and blue colorway tandem. The kicks highlighted premium material composition, all while featuring unique star-embossed detailing throughout. "Liberty," "Justice," and "Freedom" will not see a retail release, however, you can catch Frank's side of the story via his website.
