Nike continues to find innovative ways to optimize training, taking gear a step further by aiming to improve your memory in the process.

Introduced last November, the Nike SPARQ Vapor Strobe glasses were handed over to Duke University’s Institute for Brain Sciences to test out the revolutionary eyewear via stroboscopic training (performing a physical activity while using eyewear that simulates a strobe-like effect).

Members of Duke’s 2010-2011 men’s and women’s soccer teams, as well as members of the men’s basketball team, engaged in basic physical activities, like playing catch, while wearing the sports lenses. The conclusion showed participants who used the Strobe lenses gained a boost in visual memory abilities, albeit temporarily.
