McDonald’s is sponsoring the “Next Sneaker All-Star” mentorship program, which will see some of the nation’s hottest young shoe designers compete for an apprentice position at one of our favorite companies, Creative Recreation.

Complex’s own Joe La Puma will be selecting the final contestants, whose work will be posted in a special gallery online . You will then pick the winner by voting for your favorite original sneaker design. While casting your vote, you'll also be able to enter to win great prizes, like a $250 Karmaloop gift card or a pair of hot new kicks.

The Creative Recreation brand was founded in 2002 as part of the movement to establish a real middle ground in men’s footwear between dress shoes and athletic sneakers. The Creative Recreation lifestyle is all about utility and versatility, offering guys something they can wear both at work and out on the town. In short, design and innovation are crucial to the brand.

Voting for the “Next Sneaker All-Star” kicks off on Monday, June 11, at which point Joe La Puma will start posting his own take on things, as well as interviews with the designers in the competition. So check back soon, and cast your vote!
