In continuing to push the bar regarding footwear tech, adidas has produced a highly-intriguing cold-weather trail runner. Collaborating with Japan's VEIL, the kicks utilize the Three Stripes's patented CLIMAWARM technique to prevent cool air or precipitation from penetrating through the shoe. Other than the quality composition, however, the obvious standout is the enticingly vibrant colorway. As the makeup is dubbed the "Purple Swamphen," the inspiration comes from a bird which the Romans kept around solely for their beauty and one of the few of which they did not consume. The sneakers also feature a matching backpack, bearing the same bright scheme. While no word has been revealed on whether or not these will actually hit retail, we can only say — "yes, please."
