In preperation of the upcoming Chinese New Year, New Balance cooks up some heat. Since 2012 marks the year of the dragon, NB crafted special pairs of its 574 model as part of its Asia Pacific Project to mark the event. Each sneaker is styled with a dragon coiling itself along the sides of the upper in a choice of gold, red, black or yellow. These won't be available until next year, but Tokyo based mita has them available for pre-order now. [via mita]
