Best of 2011: The Nike Air Mag is the #10 Sneaker of the Year

Video Loading...

It's that time of year again where we get the biggest sneaker heavyweights around one table to discuss the best sneakers of 2011. The roundtable is assembled of legendary producer/DJ/ATF front man DJ Clark KentNice Kicks' founder Matt Halfhill, Complex sneaker editor Russ Bengtson and Complex strategist and editor Joe La Puma, and Kith's very own Ronnie Fieg. Get ready for plenty of trash talk since we'll be dropping two videos every day this week until we get to the coveted number-one spot.

This was definitely the most-hyped release for a pair of sneakers in years. The Nike Air Mag was taken as a prop from Back to the Future and released to the public for the first time ever, after many years of petitions and hopes that one day Nike would indeed drop Marty's sneaker. The best part about the release was all proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox foundation, and when auctions were going anywhere from $3,000 all the way up to $37,500 (looking at you Tinie Tempah), that's a good look for charity.
