adidas opened their first Originals flagship store in September of 2001 in Berlin-Mitte and since then has been dedicated to developing the streetwear aspect of the brand. Fast forward 10 years and the flagship store is still standing strong, adidas seized this opportunity to commemorate it with the 10th Anniversary “Made For Berlin” Pack. adidas takes their ZX 9000 model and uses the city's unique architecture and grit as the inspiration by combining grey, metallic silver, and off white with hints of red and pairing them with special treatments such as bleaching and washing processes to give the shoes a rougher and more vintage feel. They even managed to sneak in a bit of 3M material along with a laser-etched tag which shows the dedicated number from Scheinfeld, the only adidas-owned production facility in Europe. Limitied to only 150 pairs, the adidas Originals Berlin Store 10th Anniversary ZX 9000 is set to release on September 10th, along with a matching limited edition Berlin Colorado Windbreaker.
