A Complete Look at the ellesse Heritage "Fab Five" Project

Over the past week or so, ellesse Heritage did a slow reveal on the five pairs of shoes in their "Fab Five" collection. Done in collaboration with some of Europe's top sneaker retailers, each pair displays an original concept (and comes with a unique extra, everything from a basketball to a Lomography camera). Seeing that the pack releases today, we figured you could use a refresher on the whole project. Click through to check out all five. (As for actually finding them, that's up to you.)

ellesse The Poli

Collaborator: Sneakersnstuff, Stockholm

Extra: Paintbrush

Apparently Swedes paint their summer houses red. Had no idea. So Stockholm's Sneakersnstuff chose to do the same to The Poli's running silhouette — and thoughtfully included a branded paintbrush on the off-chance your house needs another coat.

ellesse The Marathon 84

Collaborator: Harvey Nichols, London

Extra: Lomography Cybersampler camera

The theme here, from Knightsbridge's Harvey Nichols, is "HARVEY NICHOLS IS WATCHING YOU," which actually makes us a bit uncomfortable. They went subtle on The Marathon 84 runner, using a palette of grey and white, only providing pop on the sole with ellesse's signature orange. The included Lomography camera will help you watch back.

ellesse The Assist 1

Collaborator: colette, Paris

Extra: "colette bleu" basketball

Originally designed as a basketball shoe, ellesse's The Assist 1 was later adopted by skateboarders in Europe much the way the Air Jordan and Dunk was in America. Parisian boutique colette chose to drown the Assist in "colette bleu," and include a basketball in the same shade to remind all of the shoe's original purpose.

ellesse The Levanto

Collaborator: Grand, Zurich

Extra: Hiking socks

Switzerland has its share of mountains, so it's no surprise that Zurich's Grand would adapt a hiker. The Levanto is made from tough pebbled leather, equipped with D-rings and red boot laces, and comes with a pair of matching hiking socks. Happy trails.

Collaborator: 24 Kilates, Barcelona

Extra: 24 Kilates Yacht squadron five-panel cap

Barcelona's 24 Kilates re-imagines the ellesse 117 runner as a yachting shoe, equipping it with Hulex waterproof leather and a nautical navy/red/white/orange colorway. The white outsole won't mark up your deck, and the matching five-panel cap completes the package.
