It's not often that a military branch gets their own piece of footwear, let alone the Coast Guard — leave it to New Balance. As we approach July 4th, the country feels a little more patriotic and the 993 by New Balance displays its colors perfectly. This edition gets a navy upper made of pigskin suede and gray mesh. The Coast Guard Seal is displayed proudly, replacing the tradtional "Made in" on the tongue. The sole is split in half with white towards the front and gray on the heel. Cop these at Zappos.
