If it wasn’t for A-Rod, Ken Griffey Jr. may have stayed in Seattle, stayed healthy, and currently be the home-run king in an era where steroids discredited the game. Griffey was the opposite of that: “Da Kid” loved the game, had a flawless swing, speed in the outfield, and was one of the only baseball players to be able to sell a sneaker line in the same manner as the guys winning slam-dunk contests. Nike once again gets creative and meshes two classic models for another dope sneaker, paying homage to one of the all-time greats. The sneaker features a Torch-infused Air Griffey Max 1 upper placed with a 360 Max Air sole unit and both colorways are on point. You can pick these up now for $160 at Eastbay.
