Half of the sneaker game is knowing what kicks are out when, and which shops have them. Our Shelf Space column looks at what shops around the country are stocking in a given week, and gives a quick glimpse into the mind of the buyer/manager/owner who put them there.
Yesterday we were invited to a sneak preview of Converse's new flagship store, set to open on Black Friday on Broadway in lower Manhattan. Following on the heels of the just-opened Boston flagship, the New York location boasts the largest selection of Converse gear in the world, stocking everything from the First String line to special releases and a unique iD experience lab in the back of the store. Jonathan Tappan, Converse's General Merchandising Manager took us through the sneakers that will go on sale when the store opens on Friday. Hit the jump for a sneak peak at what the Converse flagship retail store will be stocking on its shelves.
