It's a calculated crowd-pleaser. The patent side panels are controversial, but the use of neoprene is knowing enough without being irritatingly direct about the sneaker's inspiration. 1990 meets 1991 in one silhouette. It shouldn't work, but it does, and it doesn't jar like the Air Max 90 Current Huarache's impossible name.
