Half of the sneaker game is knowing what kicks are out when, and which shops have them. Our new column, "Shelf Space" looks at what shops around the country are stocking in a given week and allows for a quick glimpse into the mind of the buyer/owner who put them there.
This week, because half of our world is down in Austin Texas for South by Southwest, we figured we'd check in with Matt Halfhill, proprietor of the website nicekicks.com and a newly opened flagship retail store down in Austin. Hit the jump to see what Matt is currently stocking on his shelves and some words by the man himself about each of the shoes. If you're in Austin this week, make sure to stop in at the Nice Kicks shop at 2815 Guadalupe Street.

Nike KD2 All Star, $95
"Nice Kicks is just a block off of the University of Texas campus on "the drag". I think it goes without saying that we keep a full stock of every pair of kicks from the KD line."

Nike Air Max 95 "Neon", $145
"Truly one of the most timeless shoes and a colorway that looks good on a ton of different sneakers. The neon 95 has released a handful of times, but always good to get a new fresh pair or at least have one on deck."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nike Air Griffey Max One "Marina Blue", $140
"The solid grey color of these was an eye catcher to begin with, but the accent of marina blue makes this one a home run. Look out for this colorway to continue this summer."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Li-Ning BD Doom "Dodgers", $150
"It was an honor to become the first independent retailer in the US to carry Li-Ning. The quality and comfort of their first signature shoe for Baron Davis is incredible. Also check in store for non-limited colorways priced at $100."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nike Trainer SC 2010, $100
"Nike Training made a big return to the market last year with the release of the Nike Trainer 1, updating the first kicks Bo Jackson made famous. This year Nike Training updates the Trainer SC III first released in 1990 with 20 years of ingenuity with a Max Air heel, diamond flex sole, lighterweight construction, and Nike Flywire for better stability. Nike Knows."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shoe Gallery x Adidas ZX700 Boat
"An OG to the scene in Miami, Shoe Gallery celebrates it's 30th year of bringing the heat to the MIA streets with a nice makeup of the ZX700 boat. What up Danny & fam!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nike Air 180, $90
"Besides the latest product to hit the market, from time to time we pull out some bangers from our private stash. True these are a womens colorway, but we snagged every large size we could years ago."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nike Air Foamposite One "Eggplant", $200
"I am yet to see a Foamposite that doesn't look great, but these are among the best of all time in my book."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Supra Skytop Purple Patent, $116
"Each month Supra continues to show the versatility of this silhouette."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hanon x New Balance 576 "Austin", $150
"Not exactly sure how this half of the Bionic Project pack earned the name of our hometown, but the materials are on point. Scotland based Hanon worked with New Balance's Flimby factory to work up a great duo of 576's that feature materials by technical textile manufacturer Eschler."

How about a cheesy real estate joke? If you ever think that no cares if you are alive or dead then just try missing a few house payments.
