"This came out back in the early 90s. It was before the whole colorful-neon-shoe-thing was happening. It was really all about white kicks at the time and they really just did this as an Olympic tribute. But from a styling standpoint, I thought it was amazing that someone would do an all-gold Cortez shoe. It was really more about the time and the place like, 'Wow it's amazing that this came out now."
