"The Nike Considered program, originally, was supposed to be a series of shoes that worked back toward the environment and figuring out a better way of making shoes. Today, Nike Considered is sort of an entire company wide thinking, but I wish Nike Considered was still a program that actual shoes came out of. Nike Considered shoes had a really strong checkpoint of criteria. If you didn't meet all 5 checkpoints, it couldn't be called Considered. Now it's like, if you thought hard enough about it, you can call it 'Considered.' The Version 1 was totally pure with no glues, no adhesives, and no chemicals, the whole shoe was close-looped technology. You could unstitch the shoe and put the rubber part into a grinder and it would come back 100 percent. You could take the untanned leather and throw it in the ground and two weeks later it would be totally decomposed. It was a totally recyclable shoe and I just feel that they should've stayed on that path, making a shoe like that."
