"The Brooks Cascadia is an amazing running shoe. Brooks probably makes the best pure running shoe that money can buy. It's extremely comfortable. When I bought my first pair I had to go back and buy them in every color. And I put it on my blog. Then all of sudden, a couple weeks later, I get a prototype sample of the Brooks Cascadia 4, with no note or anything. So I'm sure someone saw me blog it and sent it over. So I tried reaching out to say thank you, but I never got a reply. I never heard from anyone at Brooks. The bigger companies now have divisions to handle 'tastemakers', Nike calls it 'the energy division.' My only assumption is that Brooks doesn't have that division and just sent a one-off. They just sent it, and then there was no follow-through. Which makes it that much more intriguing to me."
