You might think of Generic Surplus as the "poorman's" Common Projects, and we don't say that in a negative way. Let's face it everyone's broke, and spending $300 on a pair of sneakers just isn't smart. Plus this Generic Man offshoot brand offers sophisticated silhouettes that look much more expensive than they actually are.
These fashion-set friendly Military Hi's clock in at a reasonable $70, so your wallet won't take too much of a hit. Check for them at Steven Alan in the next few weeks.

I see a need to clear this up. To clarify, the brand and shoe you see in the photo is Generic Surplus NOT The Generic Man. The Generic Man sneakers range from $265 to $395 and are made of 100% Italian materials hand-crafted at 100 year old factpry in Portugal. Generic Surplus is a brand we created for a larger audience and are made in Korea at a great factory with a price range of $58 - $79. Please note that there is a huge difference between the brands. You can view each brand at their sites. www.thegenericman.com and www.genericsurplus.com
