Once upon a time a small British company named Lister made race cars using Jaguar engines. They were very fast, and most people liked them quite a bit. Unfortunately, as time went on and racing regulations changes the company went out of business.

Now the Lister Jaguar "Knobbly" is back, and it seems almost identical to the original. They're built to the same specification as they were in 1958, but with a few changes made so that they'll meet current FIA Appendix K regulations. It's powered by a 3.8L Jaguar I6 that provides 330 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds, or a 4.6L Chevy V8 that managed the 0-60 sprint in 4.9 seconds courtesy of 315 horsepower. The Jaguar version weighs a spritely 1,736 lbs and the Chevy weighs 1,920 lbs.

The new Knobbly will cost about ÂŁ300k ($497k).
