George Clooney Apparently Didn't Enjoy His Time With His Tesla Roadster

Sometimes as a reporter, when you're doing an interview, you make your questions seems like jokes, just to see if there's anything the subject might bight on. This method worked for Esquire's Tom Junod recently, when working on a feature on the Gravity actor. Check out this clip:

“Hey, where’s the Tesla?” I said when I was leaving his house. I was just giving him shit; I didn’t know if he had a Tesla or not, and was trying to see if even George Clooney was susceptible to Hollywood cliché.

“I had a Tesla. I was one of the first cats with a Tesla. I think I was, like, number five on the list. But I’m telling you, I’ve been on the side of the road a while in that thing. And I said to them, ‘Look, guys, why am I always stuck on the side of the fucking road? Make it work, one way or another.’ ”

Now, with all the hoopla that's been surrounding Tesla, you might expect that they were talking about a Model S. But that's not likely. He was probably talking about his Tesla Roadster that he used to have, a car which he later auctioned off for charity for $99,000.

The electric car company discontinued the sports car model before launching the Model S and has plans to later launch a revamped version once the company is more stable. Considering the recent fall in stocks due to Model S fires, this isn't too great of timing for Tesla.
