Old cars are safer than new cars.

We're really tired of hearing the argument that because newer cars deform more in accidents, they are less safe than old, steel frame land yachts from the '60s. That deformation is called a "crumple zone," and its only job is to dissipate energy in a place that's not your vital organs. Watch the IIHS crash test between a '59 Bel Air and an '09 Impala and try to say that the Bel Air was the safer choice.
