You already drooled over the new, faster, more comfortable, longer Porsche 911, but what you were really waiting to see was the range topping 911 Turbo. Unsurprisingly, it's quite fast in both Turbo, and Turbo S guises. The Turbo's twin-turbo I6 produces 520 horsepower and does the sprint to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, while the Turbo S makes 560 hp and manages said spring in a screaming 2.9 seconds. Part of this accelerative ability comes from the engine, but the seven speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and new electro-hydraulically controlled AWD system have a hand in it as well.
In order to make sure all that power doesn't overwhelm the car in the corners, it has also been equipped with rear wheel steering. When cornering the rear wheels turn up to 2.8 degrees against the direction of the front wheels to rotate the car more efficiently, but at highway speeds they all move in parallel, to assist in lane changes.
If you want a 911 Turbo, you'll need $148,300, but if you want the Turbo S (and you know that you do) you'll need to come up with $181,100.
