Florida Might Do Everyone a Favor and Make Driving Slow in the Left Lane Illegal

There's little on the road more frustrating than somebody cruising slowing in the left lane. If you're not passing, and at 58 mph in a 70 you surely aren't, you should be in the right lane. It's that simple.

Florida's lawmakers have passed a bill that would make it illegal to drive slower than 10 mph under the speed limit in the left lane. Of course, 45 mph in a 55 mph zone is still mind-blowingly annoying, and cops never enforce left lane laws anyway, but at least this means somebody is trying to fix the problem.

Before it goes into law, the governor will have to sign off on it, but we can't imagine why he wouldn't.
