The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Has Been Reconfirmed as the World's Fastest Car

After a few days of not being the fastest car in the world, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is once again the fastest car in the world, and it all happened without any re-engineering. As we reported on the 7th, the Guinness World Record Committee decided suddenly that the Veyron Super Sport's electronic speed limiter meant that it could not claim its mechanical top speed, thus giving the record to the Hennessey Venom GT.

The decision has since been reversed, and the comittee has decided that an electronic limited to prevent customers from exceeding the tire's limits does not count against a car. Nice publicity stunt, Guinness.
