Break Those Bad Habits
Food, cigarettes, alcohol; whatever your vice, this is the perfect time to start kicking it. This is one time that you can't cheat your commitments by grabbing that Twinkie you stowed in the sock drawer or that fifth of whiskey you keep taped underneath your child's crib. Sure, you can cheat and keep a pack of menthols in the glove, but all you have to do to test your resolve is to strip your car of your demons when you wake up in the morning. Before you employ this strategy, be honest with yourself about your stress levels. It would be great to make it a few hours without taking a drink, but not if it is going to push you toward vehicular manslaughter.
