A Snail Obsessed with Speed Provides Biggest Surprise of the Chicago Auto Show

Things that normally don't go together: Snails and speed. Except, of course, in the world of animated film.

Turbo, releasing from DreamWorks this summer, spins the tale of a garden snail with big race dreams. Inspired by 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagne, Turbo (the snail) strives to break out of his snails-pace. Spoiler alert: He does.

In advance of the movie, Chevrolet has teamed with DreamWorks to prepare what some have described as a "menacing" Camaro Concept. The car is on view this week at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, and looks more Mad Max than hilarious cartoon. Its turning heads at McCormick Place, and truthfully is the reason we even know about Turbo the movie.
