Alfa Watch: A Deal With Mazda Has Been Signed and the 4C is Confirmed for 2013

We've been waiting with baited breath for the return of Italy's sexiest and most storied automaker, Alfa Romeo, but like Dr. Dre's Detox there's been about a decade of rumors and no product drop. Luckily, all star Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has confirmed that the svelte Alfa Romeo 4C will be on sale in the United States this year. In other news, fundraising has started in earnest, and we wish eBay would allow us to sell kidneys.

The 4C will be followed by a sport sedan, probably to be called "Giulia," and a new Spyder based on the next generation Mazda MX-5 Miata platform. Alfa Romeo just announced that the deal to work on the cars together has just been signed by both parties. While the two cars will share nothing but a common platform, both will be made by Mazda at that company's Hiroshima, Japan plant.
