The introduction of the 'New Beetle' was an eagerly anticipated event in 1997. Car guys everywhere were pumped about the possibility of a sleek tribute to the iconic Beetle of the 60s. Disappointment soon followed. The New Beetle was way too curvaceous, lacked a real power-plant, and was void of the quirky pizazz that had defined the first generation cars. Chicks, however, flocked like a pack hungry hyenas. They thought the new car was "cute" and "adorable." This is one chick magnet you're going to want to avoid.
